Marie-Solis

Marie Solis is a writer and editor in New York.

She is currently an editor on the Styles desk at The New York Times. Previously, she was a member of The Times’s first class of editing residents in 2021, and spent two years editing on desks across the newsroom, including Business and Politics. Before The Times, she was a staff writer at Vice, Newsweek and Mic. Her work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, The Nation, The New Republic, The Baffler, The Guardian, The Cut, and other publications. She grew up in the Hudson Valley and attended Vassar College.
